Talk to me

I welcome comments of all types here at MidlifeNatalie.  I know that there will be those who are for me, those who are against me, and those who just want to share a word in the comments section.  Everyone is welcome to comment.  I do ask that we remember to be nice in the comments section.  Kind and thoughtful words speak way louder than profanity or negativity.  You can be against me and still say it in a way that doesn’t sound like you are a troll.  All comments are moderated just so I can make sure to see them before everyone else does.  If you have something to say that you don’t want everyone else to read please feel free to email me.

Now…let’s talk!

  1. Hi Natalie, not sure why I feel compelled to write to you now, as I have followed your blog for awhile. Think that i got to it through “I am bossy” Anyhow, I am sorry that you have not been able to connect with your Dad, especially on your adoption anniversary. Family dynamics are something, aren’t they?

Regarding the post that you wrote about attending Sweet Teas Moms funeral, I could so relate to that on so many levels. My daughter is gay, and the description of the group that you were with, so reminds me of my daughters friends. Kind, caring and compassionate.(I am not much of a writer, so bear with me!) I so get what you said, about being with the chosen ones. That is totally where I would have been.

I am happy for you, even though I don’t know you, that you have found someone that makes you happy.

  2. Natalie! I am so glad to connect with your life again–I must confess that I have literally been reading your blog for the last 6 hours, so I’ll be the stalker that’ll show up in your traffic feed. I’ve gone back and forth from year to year, trying to connect dots to dashes and understand the timeline of amazing events. You know I’ve never met a long-winded thought that I didn’t love, but I must simply keep it concise here: You are brave. You are smart. You are wise beyond your years. You’re awesome and I feel lucky to read about your life. I wish you nothing but the best, though, I’ll have to agree with someone else who mentioned this– you do some of your best darn writing when you’re in the thick of things. I’ll be back for sure and thank you muchly for leaving a comment on my blog, pointing me in the direction of your life. Just think–your life has just begun and all of the people that love you are going to be right there with you for the long haul. Keep your margarita at the ready and keep jumping off cliffs–I’ll be one of the folks hoping for a smooth (if not dynamic, all the same) landing each time. xo, Over-Thinker

  3. hmmm I tried to follow you on twitter but looks like you’vee made it private and it needs approval 😦

    • What’s your twitter handle and I’ll approve it? I must tell you though that I rarely tweet these days! I’ve been on twitter since 2008 when it was a small-ish community and I was obsessed with it! Now though, I feel like I am reading a whole bunch of random stuff from random people who I had no idea I was even following!
